The purpose of the company, both in Switzerland and abroad, on its own account or on behalf of third parties, is described as follows: a) investing in, subscribing to, acquiring, placing, buying, selling and trading shares, participations, bonds, options and certificates of companies and corporations; b) founding, managing and supervising companies and corporations; c) financing companies and corporations; d) raising and procuring loans, granting loans, including the issuance of bonds, debentures or other securities, as well as concluding related contracts. The company is part of the Lotus Bakeries group and, to the extent permitted, aligns its business activities with the group's objectives. Accordingly, the company may, in the interest of the group or individual group companies (including their direct or indirect parent companies and their direct or indirect subsidiaries), conclude contracts and, in particular, grant loans or other financing to such group companies and provide security for their liabilities of any kind, including by way of pledges or security assignments and transfers of the company's assets or by way of guarantees of any kind, whether against payment or not. The company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and acquire, hold, sell or finance any type of business. The company may acquire, hold and sell real estate. The company may engage in any commercial activities that are directly or indirectly related to the company's purpose and take any measures that appear to be suitable for promoting the company's purpose or are related to it.
