The objectives of the IFSC are: to promote and develop the international growth of climbing and paraclimbing as competitive sports worldwide in all essential aspects, including eClimbing and ePara Climbing; to promote climbing and paraclimbing as recreational and leisure sports in the interest of all climbers and particularly as a healthy activity for youth; to be a programme sport at the Olympic and Paralympic Games; to organize international competitions of world-class level where all IFSC disciplines are equally represented; to establish, maintain and enforce rules for the organization and participation in international climbing and paraclimbing competitions, including eClimbing and ePara Climbing competitions; to recognize international competitions that comply with IFSC rules and regulations; to promote and organize IFSC World Championships, IFSC World Cup series and all other IFSC events in all IFSC disciplines; to create, implement and maintain programmes for the training of technical officials; to support development initiatives established by the IFSC bodies and approved by the Board; to enforce and update as necessary these Statutes and other resulting regulations and handbooks; to promote clean and safe sport by adopting and enforcing the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC), the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions and other measures to protect and secure competitions and athletes; to develop sponsorship and marketing opportunities to support the activities of the IFSC; and to promote diversity and universality in the governance and activities of the IFSC. The IFSC may establish branches and subsidiaries and participate in other companies. The IFSC may carry out all activities that are suitable to promote its objectives or are connected with its objectives, including commercial, financial and other activities.
