The purpose of the foundation is to promote, develop and license new technologies and applications. A dominant, but not exclusive, focus of the foundation is the promotion and development of the so-called Moxy technology and related technologies, as well as the promotion and support of applications that utilize the Moxy technology. To this end, the foundation pursues: The promotion and licensing of the use of Moxy technology; The promotion of an open-source developer community to develop Moxy technology, which has practical and valuable use cases, providing discussion forums, documentation, standardization, and regular events (such as hackathons) to provide and disseminate basic knowledge for new developers to get started with Moxy technology development; and the development and promotion of Moxy technology-related activities and projects, the distribution of corresponding contributions, and participation and collaboration with other companies for the above-mentioned purposes. To this end, the foundation may promote activities, finance corresponding activities and projects, make grants, and participate in other companies. The foundation may also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, create such organizations, and promote existing ones. Within the scope of its purpose, the foundation may operate both domestically and internationally.
