The purpose of the foundation is to promote new technological developments and applications, particularly in the areas of open and private decentralized software architectures. Decentralized, private and open technological structures are to be enabled, promoted and maintained. The focus is on promoting and developing ParallelChain software architectures and related technologies, as well as promoting and supporting applications and additional software made available or to be made available in connection with ParallelChain software architectures. To this end, the foundation may: a) promote and finance activities and projects; b) receive and make grants and participate in companies and other institutions in Switzerland and abroad; c) issue, receive, store and sell distributed-ledger-based digital markers, but not trade in them; d) build, support and expand the ecosystem surrounding the ParallelChain software architectures and contact and engage with authorities or third parties to promote the development and marketing of the ParallelChain software architectures; e) acquire, hold or grant intellectual property rights and license rights of all kinds; f) conduct and promote all business and/or participate in all transactions, and generally take all actions and things that are necessary, appropriate, related or desirable to achieve or promote the goals described. The foundation may also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, create such organizations and/or promote existing organizations. The foundation is non-profit and does not aim to make a profit. Within the scope of its purpose, the foundation may operate in Switzerland and abroad. Potential beneficiaries related to the purpose and principles of the foundation have no rights or claims against the foundation.
