The Public Discourse Foundation aims to research and strengthen public discourse on the internet. In connection with research activities and the development of new technologies, the Public Discourse Foundation ensures a Swiss-university reference and exchange, essentially no industrial research is pursued for self-help or to pursue economic purposes. The Public Discourse Foundation researches strategies to reduce toxic language and promote constructive contributions, and translates these research findings into scalable solutions. Its goal is to improve public discourse so that as many people as possible feel invited to participate. This strengthens freedom of opinion and diversity, social cohesion, and democracy. The foundation can participate in projects that serve the purpose of the foundation or commission other organizations to do so. The foundation can then conduct all business and conclude contracts that are suitable for promoting the purpose of the foundation or that are directly or indirectly related to it. The foundation is non-profit and does not work for profit, is politically and denominationally neutral.
