The foundation aims to promote and expand animal welfare worldwide, in particular through 1. sponsoring animal welfare projects (grants) of all kinds; 2. direct investments in non-listed companies in all economic sectors that prioritize animal welfare and animal well-being (e.g. livestock and slaughterhouse operations with a proven priority on animal welfare over profit optimization, non-listed service companies with a special focus on animal welfare, etc.); 3. hiring and/or employing personnel for processing, information, documentation and criminal and/or civil prosecution of violations of animal rights; and 4. deepening and broadening knowledge and awareness in the field of animal welfare. The foundation focuses particularly on regions or nations that are unable to adequately address animal welfare concerns due to economic, political or other circumstances. It does not pursue self-help or commercial purposes.
