The foundation exclusively pursues public-benefit purposes, namely - in the broadest sense - in particular: i. promoting and supporting social entrepreneurship with the aim of creating training opportunities and creating or maintaining jobs for disadvantaged, disabled, sick or poor people in Asia; ii. providing support in cases of poverty, distress and misery for poor, disabled, sick, elderly or young people, as well as people suffering from natural disasters; iii. providing support and assistance in cases of need, suffering and misery due to illnesses, including financial support for accessing suitable medical care and treatment; promoting research and supporting medical projects for the development of new treatments and the prevention of diseases, as well as providing educational opportunities in the field of disease prevention; iv. promoting and supporting healthy lifestyles for the benefit of the general public, including financial support for projects and services aimed at educating and promoting the public with the goal of achieving healthier lifestyles and ultimately physical and mental well-being; supporting research and promoting healthy lifestyles; v. promoting education and training, including financial support for non-profit educational institutions and other non-profit organizations active in this field; granting scholarships to members of non-profit educational institutions, as well as study grants and general financial support in connection with such scholarships; vi. promoting and supporting science, art and culture for the benefit of the general public; vii. promoting and supporting other non-profit organizations. (2) The foundation can operate both in Switzerland and abroad. It is denominationally neutral and does not pursue commercial or self-help purposes.
