The foundation aims to preserve endangered ecosystems and the endangered species that inhabit them in the long term. The foundation a) focuses on i) particularly species-rich habitats (so-called "target habitats", such as tropical forests, wetlands, mangroves, coasts, river systems, and conflict zones between biodiversity and civilization); ii) evolutionarily exceptional species or key species that are globally existentially threatened (so-called "target species"); iii) target habitats and species for which current conservation measures are insufficient or lacking; b) ensures the long-term survival of target habitats and species through suitable conservation measures, prevention of the depletion of target habitats, and renaturation of already damaged target habitats; c) supports the conservation breeding and reintroduction of target species based on scientific evidence; d) supports nature conservation training programs with a focus on ecosystem and species conservation, as well as the specialized training of wildlife wardens and other personnel active in species conservation; and e) collaborates with authorities, institutions, organizations, and individuals who are important for achieving the foundation's purpose. The foundation is permitted to establish further foundations in the interest of pursuing its purpose, acquire, develop, renovate, encumber, and sell properties in Switzerland and abroad, as well as establish, acquire, and sell companies in Switzerland and abroad and take over participations in companies. The foundation can also produce, market, and sell articles of any kind that promote the foundation's purpose (so-called merchandising), with the net proceeds being used exclusively for the foundation's purpose. Furthermore, the foundation can provide a membership platform for networking among nature conservationists, scientists, and potential donors. 3. The founder reserves the right to change the purpose or organization of the foundation in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code. 4. The foundation's assets and income are dedicated exclusively to its purpose. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose. 5. The foundation operates globally within the scope of its purpose. It pursues its purpose by providing financial contributions to non-profit, tax-exempt institutions, organizations, or needy individuals. It can also participate directly in projects or acquire target habitats and any infrastructure that serves to achieve the purpose. 6.
