The association aims to a. coordinate a group of lawyers, whether self-employed or employed by a law firm, and law firms around the world who are members of the association (the "Group"), to develop the strategy and business objectives of the Group for the benefit of all members (as defined below); b. enable its members to represent clients in multiple jurisdictions, offer in-depth expertise and services across multiple jurisdictions, use offices and meeting rooms around the world, establish contacts with internationally focused lawyers, and develop new mandates; c. promote international cooperation and cohesion among members in all aspects of business; d. establish structures and rules for the management of the Group, for the interaction between members, and for their behavior; e. promote the quality of services provided by members, define and approve quality standards for services within the Group, and ensure their implementation; f. establish rules of conduct regarding members' interactions with their clients and ensure their compliance, particularly with regard to conflicts of interest, money laundering, and risk management; g. establish rules of conduct regarding members' interactions with their staff and with each other, ensure their compliance, and establish general principles for the Group regarding personnel matters; h. develop and coordinate a common brand, a common public image, particularly on the internet, which will be used by all members and will be multilingual in terms of coordination, business policy, programs, etc.; i. develop, coordinate, and monitor the marketing of members' services; j. initiate, plan, and monitor the development of new systems, procedures, and processes for uniform application within the Group; k. initiate, plan, develop, research, and/or monitor new services and/or products or topics of common interest to the Group; l. establish and coordinate uniform principles and behaviors within the Group regarding entrepreneurial and social responsibility; m. strengthen the professional reputation of the Group and its individual members; and n. carry out all other activities that directly or indirectly result from the above purposes for the benefit of the Group or individual members, or are related thereto, or can be derived from supplementary regulations or the well-understood interests of the members. The association takes all necessary steps to achieve the above objectives; however, it does not engage in commercial activities and does not exercise a profession.
