The company's purpose is to participate in and organize the America's Cup (sailing regatta) as well as to produce and market any products related to the participation in the America's Cup, and any activity directly or indirectly related to the aforementioned main purpose. The company may also, in Switzerland or abroad: - carry out any financial, commercial or industrial activity, movable or immovable, directly or indirectly related to its purpose; - create subsidiaries and branches, take participations in, and more generally, participate in, all companies and entities having a direct or indirect relationship with its purpose; carry out, either on its own account or on behalf of third parties, all operations directly or indirectly related to its purpose or likely to promote it, in particular, when permitted by law, acquire, manage, operate and sell real estate (except for operations prohibited by the Federal Law on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners (LFAIE)), and acquire patents, trademarks, licenses, other intellectual property rights and know-how related to the activities mentioned above; and - grant loans or guarantees to shareholders, affiliated companies or third parties.
