The support of research and conservation projects in Asia, whose goal is to preserve biodiversity and protect habitats. The projects will start in Sri Lanka, but over time, networking will take place with projects in other Asian countries that pursue the same goals. It is ensured that the supported projects have a sustainable character and can serve as a model for other projects. The support is provided in relation to the following goals: The acquisition of scientifically based information, which is indispensable as a basis for targeted species and habitat conservation. The focus is primarily on the Asian Elephant and other endangered species; The exploration of connections in a healthy ecosystem; The education of the local population and their involvement in animal and habitat conservation projects; Collaboration with like-minded organizations/projects (also in other Asian countries); The training of other people active in environmental and species conservation. The support is particularly granted to the Centre for Conservation and Research (CCR) in Sri Lanka www.ccrsl.org, which already implements the above-mentioned goals in its own projects or accompanies and/or supports projects of other organizations (also outside of Sri Lanka). Activities in Switzerland: Information/education about the situation and protection of Asian Elephants and other endangered species and their habitats in Sri Lanka through public relations work (excursions, lectures, publications, etc.). The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit. It is not founded for profit-making or self-help purposes.
