Alp- und Landwirtschaftliche Genossenschaft Wolfhalden

The cooperative is a section of the Cantonal Agricultural Association of Appenzell A. Rh. and aims to promote and improve agriculture and alpine farming, as well as to protect the interests of farmers. To achieve this purpose, it: a) manages association alps to offer members good summer grazing opportunities for their young cattle, b) holds lectures on important agricultural issues of a technical and economic nature, c) discusses draft laws and official measures, and takes a stance on elections in the municipality and canton, d) organizes or participates in exhibitions, promotes experimental farming, e) organizes specialized courses and excursions, f) provides the opportunity to join other organizations.
