The foundation is a non-profit organization that supports social, ecological and cultural projects and aid organizations in Switzerland and abroad, as well as the training of journalists in Switzerland. Within the framework of its purpose, the foundation can support, among other institutions and projects, the following: "Stiftung Humanitas, Zofingen", "Stiftung Dariu, Zofingen", "Stiftung Corymbo, Zurich", and the "Right Livelihood Award Foundation, Stockholm". The foundation also aims to support employees and former employees of Ringier Holding AG, Zofingen, or companies economically or financially closely related to it, in cases of unemployment, illness, disability, old age, death, and hardship, particularly in cases where other welfare institutions cannot provide adequate support. Furthermore, the foundation supports people in financial distress. It does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes.
