The non-profit foundation aligns its work with the core values of social democracy: freedom, justice, equality, solidarity, and sustainability. Its goal is to promote pluralistic societal dialogue on the political challenges of the present and future, and to strengthen democracy, taking into account all language regions of Switzerland, all parts of the population, and all areas of life. This goal is achieved in particular through the research, testing, and development of new ideas in socio-political issues, specifically through the preparation and financing of analyses, research, and studies on future politically relevant topics, and through the development of strategies on central questions of economic, social, and education policy, as well as democracy development. The foundation makes its findings available in the form of educational, informational, and training events, as well as publications. Furthermore, the foundation exchanges ideas with partners at home and abroad and works with them.
