The foundation's guiding principle is the connection between art and culture, which are to be promoted equally. Two important areas of focus are the scholarship programs for art students and the regional integration of migrants through art. The term 'art' refers to the visual arts in general, and there are no boundaries in this regard. The primary goal is not to support art itself, but rather the artist as a creative person. Swiss art students are to be given the opportunity, with the help of the foundation's scholarships, to participate in an art and cultural exchange in the Balkans during their studies. Students enrolled in an art college can apply for such a stay. The exchange is to involve a project-based exploration of a socially relevant topic, with the goal of getting to know the people of the Balkan region and their culture, as well as their complex reality, and promoting mutual understanding and interest between cultures. The Balkan region is a significant area of origin for immigration in our country. By enabling the exchange, the foundation aims to make a contribution to the positive development of Switzerland. Integration remains an important topic in Switzerland. The foundation will address this topic through art and focus on migrants from the Balkan region. Art is to have a cross-cultural impact and address all people equally. The exchange programs, which are financed through travel scholarships, are to be organized from Switzerland and are explicitly aimed at students from Swiss art colleges. This exchange is intended to be a supplement to the regular training program in the sense of further education. As a result, participants have the opportunity to address social and cultural aspects through art and broaden their horizons in dialogue with art students from the Balkan region. The art created and the inspiration for positive coexistence in Switzerland are then to be transported into society in Switzerland through art exhibitions. The exchange programs are thus intended to have a lasting impact on the development of art and culture in Switzerland, as international understanding and the discovery of another culture are at the forefront of these events. Through cooperation, the understanding of people from the Balkan region who have already found their (second) home in Switzerland is to be promoted. The purpose of the foundation is also to be supported and promoted by organizing individual art projects for migrants from the perspective of integration. In these projects, too, the guiding principle of the connection between art and culture is central and is to be implemented in such a way that culture is addressed through the creation of art.
