The purpose of the foundation is to promote artistic and scientific exploration of issues related to climate change, ecology, and sustainability, as well as the necessary transformation, learning, and creative processes. The foundation fulfills this purpose primarily by fostering new perceptions, ways of knowing, and narratives through the connection of art, culture, and science, and by finding or creating and promoting workplaces and meeting places for artists and scientists. This enables the foundation to learn, research, or convey a new sustainable approach to resources, nature, and the environment (e.g., regarding agriculture, production, nutrition, travel, community building, everyday life, etc.). The foundation aims to initiate theme-relevant processes in an open and participatory manner, make complex solution approaches tangible, and make contradictions and transformation processes experienceable and debatable. To achieve its non-profit purpose, the foundation can, among other things, develop and implement its own projects or support foreign projects or individuals in Switzerland and (to a lesser extent) abroad; organize or support events such as performances, exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and debates; create or promote publications in magazine, book, or digital form, as well as films and documentaries to convey themes, results, and artistic works; create, produce, and promote artworks and other works of artistic or scientific nature; establish and expand a permanent platform for the sustainable consolidation of its projects and use or support foreign platforms; establish or acquire participations in other legal entities (e.g., associations, foundations, companies) or become a member of purpose-related associations; enter into content-related or structural cooperations with other legal or natural persons; act as a carrier of theme-specific funds and dependent foundations; and, to fulfill its non-profit purpose, rent, lease, acquire, or sell real estate and conclude all legal transactions that the foundation's purpose entails. Active asset management is waived. The foundation board can set priorities within these activities at its discretion. The foundation has a non-profit character, does not pursue any commercial purposes, and does not strive for profit.
