The purpose of the cooperative is to promote, create and procure affordable housing and workspace in a rental or ownership relationship through joint self-help; can acquire, encumber and sell plots of land and building rights; the cooperative's activity is not profit-driven; in particular, it aims to promote housing and working forms that optimally meet the interests of the residents and users, namely in terms of legal status, co-determination, mixed use, architecture and comfort; ecological aspects are taken into account in the selection of the location, in the construction and in the maintenance; rents and sells affordable housing and workspace as well as houses primarily to its members; the houses and housing and workspace owned by the cooperative are to be withdrawn from speculation as far as possible and used in the sense of the above explanations; self-managed and communal housing and working forms are to be realized wherever possible; maintains its buildings in good structural condition and renovates them periodically, the space provided and the number of residents and users should be in a reasonable proportion to each other; when selling real estate and houses, the cooperative ensures that the buyers cannot carry out speculative transactions, for this purpose the cooperative can reserve pre-emption, purchase and co-determination rights; the cooperative limits its activity to the left bank of the lake; can participate in companies with the same or similar objectives and acquire membership in umbrella organizations of non-profit building cooperatives.
