The ASMAS aims to provide comprehensive services for the trade, specifically the sports retail trade. It assumes tasks that are directly or indirectly related to this purpose or are suitable for promoting it. It can acquire and sell properties, establish branch offices and found subsidiaries. To maintain and promote a high-performance sports retail trade, the ASMAS pursues the following goals in particular: Representing the economic and trade policy interests of its members vis-à-vis politics, economy and society; Training and further education of employees in the sports retail trade; Enforcement of competition rules; Advising and supporting members on business management issues; Informing members and other interested parties in a staggered manner about all facts and figures in the sports goods industry and providing professional expertise through suitable information channels and carriers; Maintaining the image of the sports retail trade; Cooperation with national and international organizations of the sports retail trade, sports goods suppliers and manufacturers, sports, economy and science; Cooperation with international trade fairs. The ASMAS cooperates with and supports national order platforms; Providing further demand-oriented services for members and third parties.
