The protection, dignity and well-being of animals, the abolition of medical and scientific experiments on living animals and their replacement by ethical, scientific and safe methods for public health; to obtain throughout the Swiss territory, legislation that guarantees the defense and respect of animal rights. To promote the constant improvement of this legislation and to monitor its strict application; to defend the interests of its members and represent them before all authorities, civil, criminal or administrative, the public and other organizations.
