To promote the use of computer-based means in the fields of language, translation, terminology and related fields; to organize and manage conferences to achieve its primary goal; to defend the professional, legal, economic, social and moral interests of stakeholders in its areas of competence in general, and of its members in particular; to make available to the public in general, and to its members in particular, the means to better understand the contributions of technology in the fields of language, translation, terminology and related fields; to promote professional training and development and to provide stakeholders in its areas of competence in general, and its members in particular, with the material means to achieve this goal, notably through studies, meetings, conferences, debates and discussions; to carry out research activities in its areas of competence; to set up and manage websites, forums, exchange groups and mailing lists in its areas of competence (cf. statutes for full purpose).
