The purpose of the association, as a union of research and development-based pharmaceutical companies operating in Ukraine, is to: a) advocate for a legally regulated and economically favorable climate that promotes public health by ensuring patients' access to the services of the pharmaceutical industry; b) encourage its members to commit to ethical business principles and practices in their relations with each other and with the pharmaceutical industry in general; c) represent the interests of the pharmaceutical industry before all relevant national, regional, and local governments of Ukraine; d) promote the development of new and innovative pharmaceutical technologies and ensure their accessibility to patients; e) provide its members with timely and relevant information from authorities, industry, and market, as well as economic conditions; f) promote the interests of its members in the Ukrainian pharmaceutical industry and in similar Ukrainian and foreign associations of the pharmaceutical industry; g) offer a forum for its members to exchange ideas, build consensus, and effectively express their opinions, with the aim of influencing policy, legislation, and public perception of the research and development-based pharmaceutical industry; h) offer a mechanism for self-regulation of marketing and advertising activities in accordance with national legislation, to promote ethical behavior among its members and in the pharmaceutical industry in general; i) analyze and provide recommendations on new draft laws, amendments, and supplements to the current Ukrainian legislation regarding the activities of the association's members. The association's activities do not aim to generate profits.
