VIVAT's mission is carried out in the following way: working with people and groups who live in poverty in all its forms and participating in their efforts to restore and preserve well-being, dignity, and freedom. Promoting human rights, sustainable development, understanding, and harmony among peoples, cultures, classes, religions, and beliefs; striving to create a global society and local communities that encourage the inclusion and participation of all. Working towards ecological sustainability, the protection of biodiversity, and the preservation of the planet's wealth for future generations. VIVAT INTERNATIONAL also recognizes that the United Nations is an important forum for collaboration with others who share these goals. Therefore, VIVAT INTERNATIONAL seeks to collaborate with the United Nations, as well as with other agencies and NGOs, particularly VIVAT Rome and VIVAT New York, and the religious congregations involved in them.
