To promote collaboration among its members to achieve common regional and general goals, to develop the regional development program and to work towards achieving the objectives defined therein in accordance with the Federal Law on Investment Aid in Mountain Regions (LIM) of 21.03.1997 and the cantonal law of application and complement to the federal LIM of 17.03.1977 and their subsequent amendments. To promote and coordinate all initiatives and activities aimed at promoting the economic, social and cultural development of the Region. To provide advice to public and private entities that intend to make investments in line with the development objectives set out in the regional program. To manage the financial resources allocated by the Canton based on the LIM or other laws; as well as to manage other potential funds intended for specific activities. To assume specific tasks on behalf of third parties. To collaborate with external entities or individuals to fulfill the assigned tasks, provided that the purposes and interests of the individual members are respected. To operate in such a way as to favor as much as possible an equitable compensation of advantages and disadvantages among the member municipalities. New organization: a) the regional assembly; b) regional council of 9 members; c) the conference of mayors; d) the audit committee.
