The Association pursues a non-profit purpose within the Park, to facilitate collaborations between companies, startups, universities and research institutions to find solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in the field of life sciences. Together with its partners, the Association forms an ecosystem to promote and support innovative companies that conduct research and development in the life sciences sector, with the aim of improving their competitiveness and having a positive impact on society in economic terms, qualified jobs and quality of life. The Association aims in particular to promote synergies between relevant academic and private partners and the creation of a center of competence, helping the organic growth of the community at the Swiss and international level, promoting technology transfer and knowledge. The purpose is realized in particular through the following activities of the Association: Facilitating networking among companies; Facilitating technology transfer and knowledge sharing among members, and in particular from academic institutions to companies; Accelerating innovation processes by removing bureaucratic and infrastructural barriers; Promoting collaborative projects and activities in the life sciences sector; Creating communication channels to transmit useful information to members; Facilitating the membership of new members, in particular by attracting new local, national and foreign companies; Improving the visibility of members; Creating specific competencies through adequate personnel and infrastructure; Promoting the Association at the Swiss and international level (within the limits granted by the Park); Joining associations that can facilitate the achievement of the CC's purpose; Respecting the regulations of the Innovation Park Ticino, and subsequently of the Switzerland Innovation Park, in particular with regard to the CC's membership process in the Park; Improving attractiveness for public and private funding; Disseminating, in a didactic manner, its themes and activities; Defining and managing services for members and external companies; Managing the sites, infrastructure and personnel of the CC; Cooperating with the Innovationspark Zürich; Drafting the necessary reporting required by the Park; Creating the necessary internal regulations for the proper functioning of the CC and required by the Park; Paying the dues owed to the Park.
