The association provides support for palliative care and assistance to organizations and institutions that provide it, enabling seriously ill patients to end their lives with dignity in the event of a hopeless diagnosis, unbearable pain or disability by providing accompaniment in the choice of a dignified death. The association also ensures that the advance directives of its members are respected by the medical profession. It provides its members and their families with moral and practical support, both during the care phase and during the period of mourning. It maintains relationships with organizations pursuing similar goals, both in Switzerland and abroad. It may acquire and sell real estate within the framework of pursuing its purpose.
