The foundation aims to promote and support cultural and social institutions in realizing their projects within their social and cultural missions. In particular, the following institutions are to be supported: Cultural institutions: Friends of the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra, Friends of the St. Gallen Theatre, St. Gallen Natural History Museum, St. Gallen Historical and Ethnographic Museum; Social institutions in St. Gallen or Eastern Switzerland: Eastern Switzerland Children's Hospital St. Gallen, Pro Senectute Foundation Canton St. Gallen, Davidstrasse 16, 9000 St. Gallen, and other social institutions of a similar nature; Social institutions in Switzerland: Swiss Red Cross, Bern, Swiss Cancer Research, Effingerstrasse 40, 3008 Bern, Multiple Sclerosis Society, Josefstrasse 129, 8005 Zurich, Swiss Ornithological Institute Sempach, Seerose 1, 6204 Sempach. The aforementioned institutions have no enforceable claim to benefits from the foundation's assets. The foundation may extend its activities to other institutions with social and cultural purposes. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
