The cooperative aims to provide its members with healthy and affordable housing through joint self-help and co-responsibility. It strives to offer housing to all sections of the population, particularly families, people with disabilities, and the elderly. It promotes community living in the sense of overall social responsibility and mutual solidarity. To achieve this goal, it acquires building land and building rights; builds and purchases single-family and multi-family homes that meet modern cooperative housing needs; maintains and periodically renovates existing buildings; constructs replacement new buildings when existing ones can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; utilizes funding instruments under the federal housing promotion law and corresponding cantonal and communal laws; manages and rents apartments on a cost-rent basis; and provides ideological and material support to efforts aimed at affordable, healthy, and good housing. The cooperative's activities are non-profit and not driven by profit. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with similar or identical goals. It is a member of the Swiss Association for Housing SVW.
