The purpose of the cooperative is to purchase, acquire by building rights, and construct plots of land and properties, to manage and rent residential and other buildings at favorable rents, in particular the residential buildings No. 21-31 on Staufferstrasse. The cooperative may establish branch offices, participate in other companies, acquire or merge with similar or related companies, acquire or sell plots of land, and enter into any business and conclude contracts that are suitable to promote the purpose of the cooperative or are directly or indirectly related to it. The building cooperative has a non-profit character. The sale of the residential houses is only permitted with the consent of the City of Bern.
