The cooperative aims to provide its members with affordable housing and to permanently remove it from speculation through joint self-help. The cooperative creates affordable housing and rents it to its members. It seeks to achieve this purpose by: acquiring building land and building rights; building and acquiring multi-family houses that meet the cooperative's modern housing needs; careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renovation of existing buildings; constructing replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; claiming funding instruments under the federal housing promotion law or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; managing and renting apartments on a cost-rent basis; promoting cooperative activities in the settlements; providing ideological and material support for efforts aimed at affordable, healthy and good housing. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar goals. It can be a member of the Swiss Housing Cooperatives Association, the Association of Non-Profit Housing Developers.
