The association aims to operate a Roman Catholic nunnery according to the Benedictine rule at the Hermetschwil site. This is primarily dedicated to tasks in liturgy, pastoral care, science, and traditional monastic businesses such as host baking and the monastery shop. In addition, the association's own assets, in particular the real estate, are managed, administered, maintained, and further developed. The association can provide financial support to activities of the Federation of Benedictine Nunneries and individual member monasteries. Furthermore, the association can make grants for religious, cultural, and social reasons. The association pursues exclusively non-profit purposes and does not act with the intention of making a profit.
