The foundation aims to: Promote the training and further education of restorers and specialists in the conservation and restoration of historic buildings and works of art; Support all measures to preserve the Bernese old towns and monuments in their urban context and historical substance, in the sense of monument preservation; Support measures that aim to deepen the understanding of the Bernese people for the preservation and maintenance of architectural cultural monuments (publications, lectures, etc.); Establish a fund to effectively achieve the desired goals. The foundation operates within the canton of Bern, in accordance with its purpose. The foundation's profits and capital are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose. Commercial purposes are excluded.
