Bewässerungs-Genossenschaft Laufen-Uhwiesen

The cooperative aims to establish and operate a pumping station on the Rhine and an irrigation network for frost and drought irrigation of agricultural crops in the municipality of Laufen-Uhwiesen up to an altitude of 465 m above sea level, as well as parts of the municipality of Dachsen (Wannen, Berchen and Goldenberg areas). The economic area is designated in Annex 1 of these statutes. The cooperative supplies water to all interested parties, both within the economic area and in adjacent areas, upon request, provided that the capacity of the facilities allows for delivery to third parties and that the delivery serves an agricultural purpose. The cooperative operates the business on a public service basis and does not pursue profit-oriented goals.
