The Company's purpose is to engage in banking activities and provide financial services. The Company may carry out all activities that are directly or indirectly related to the Company's purpose, as well as all activities that may promote the achievement of the Company's social purpose. Such activities may be carried out on its own account or on behalf of third parties and include, by way of example and not exhaustively, the following: (a) acceptance of deposits from individuals or legal entities, public or private, in all forms used in banking activities, including savings deposits; (b) granting of secured and unsecured loans of any type, including discounting and collection of bills of exchange and other securities; (c) purchase and sale, on its own account or on behalf of third parties, of securities of all kinds, checks, currencies, precious metals, and any type of financial instrument or product; (d) provision of financial services as provided for by the Federal Law on Financial Services, in particular the purchase or sale of financial instruments, acceptance and transmission of orders relating to financial instruments, management of financial instruments (asset management), provision of personalized recommendations regarding transactions with financial instruments (investment advice), and granting of credits for transactions with financial instruments; (e) provision of payment services of all kinds and issuance of all types of means of payment; (f) issuance of all types of guarantees, including sureties and letters of credit; (g) subscription and placement of securities issued by issuers, in particular shares and units of investment funds, domestic and foreign; (h) custody and administration of financial instruments, as well as custody and administration of any movable assets and rental of safe deposit boxes; (i) execution of fiduciary transactions. The Company will not engage in the distribution of insurance and pension products, but may, upon explicit request of the client, propose a list of selected brokers. The Company may also acquire, manage, pledge, and alienate real estate assets for its own use. The Company may, subject to the granting of authorizations, licenses, and/or permits provided for by local regulations, engage in banking and/or financial activities abroad. Within the limits of its social purpose, the Company may, in Switzerland and abroad, open branches, establish subsidiaries, representative offices, and companies of any kind, and in particular establish and manage banks and financial companies, as well as acquire, administer, and control participations, including on a fiduciary basis, in other companies and enterprises in Switzerland and abroad. The Company may participate in other companies, as well as carry out any commercial or financial activity, instrumental or useful to the pursuit, directly or indirectly, of the Company's social purpose.
