The Foundation, a non-profit organization, aims to directly or indirectly promote the development and growth of open-source software that expands the utility of Layer-1 networks. The Foundation focuses particularly on the Corn software protocol, the surrounding community, and the ecosystem. Corn is a Layer 2 scalable solution of the Bitcoin network based on the Ethereum network, designed to expand the utility of Bitcoin beyond its function as a store of value. To this end, the Foundation may: accept and distribute grants and participate in companies and other institutions in Switzerland and abroad; create, receive, hold, and dispose of distributed ledger-based digital tokens and other means; develop, support, expand, and publish standards and software codes; develop, support, and expand community-driven governance systems to involve ecosystem participants in ecosystem-related matters, whether at the protocol, parameter, or Foundation governance level; promote, manage, and orchestrate the surrounding ecosystem of the software codes supported by the Foundation; organize educational and other events and promote awareness of the supported software codes; collaborate with public or private institutions, facilities, individuals, and organizations; receive, acquire, hold, or grant intellectual property rights and licensing rights of all kinds; conclude all transactions and participate in or promote all transactions, and generally perform all acts and things necessary, appropriate, required, or desirable to achieve or promote the goals described herein. The Foundation may delegate the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, establish such organizations, and/or support existing organizations. The Foundation may use its own personnel or hire external service providers to fulfill its purpose. The Foundation may have a profit-making purpose and generate profits within the framework of financing for the pursuit of its purpose and the development of the ecosystem. Within the framework of its purpose, the Foundation may operate in Switzerland and abroad. Potential beneficiaries who fall within the scope of the Foundation's purpose and principles have no rights or claims against the Foundation.
