In a non-profit sense, support for privately organized hospitals, homes and institutions in Eastern Switzerland, in particular those in the canton of St. Gallen, where the principle of free doctor choice applies. Contributions can also be made to publicly organized hospitals, homes and institutions with free doctor choice or to private-law hospitals, homes and institutions with limited or no doctor choice. Furthermore, the foundation can provide funding in the field of healthcare, including health prevention, care and education in this area, to promote private initiatives and improve the range of services; as specified in more detail in the foundation deed.
