The foundation aims to provide assistance to mountain farmers and promote animal welfare. It can award grants, provide interest-bearing or non-interest-bearing loans, make one-time or recurring contributions, or take other measures to provide assistance and support for one or both of these purposes. The foundation can also support the activities of other associations with similar or identical objectives. The detailed provisions regarding the organization of the foundation and the nature and scope of the grants can be established by the foundation board in a set of regulations. The regulations and any amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority for approval.
