The foundation aims to promote music research, music in general, and the creation of collections and exhibitions in the musical field. The foundation is intended to enable the exploration of music, existing works by living or deceased artists or new works by artists for the first or new dissemination in concerts, on sound carriers and other media, including the internet, to be found, edited or performed. To this end, contributions or payments can be made to institutions in the music sector (such as institutions of music research, music education, theater) as well as to natural persons (such as music researchers, composers, music educators, artists). Direct payments to the founder are excluded. The foundation is also intended to provide financial support to needy young artists for training or project development in the music sector and to make contributions to everything that serves the promotion of music. In addition, the foundation aims to support and promote institutions in the field of music therapy, institutions supporting elderly, needy or sick artists, as well as supporting individuals and projects in Switzerland and abroad who are active in a non-profit, charitable, humanitarian, health-promoting, educational, scientific or cultural manner. The foundation can also provide direct support services to natural persons in these areas. The foundation can perform all legal and factual actions that serve to pursue the purpose of the foundation. It can also acquire and manage real estate and properties for the purposes of the foundation. The foundation is not profit-oriented and is politically and denominationally neutral. The foundation does not pursue any commercial or self-help purposes.
