The company's purpose, excluding operations prohibited by the Federal Law on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (LFAIE), is: (i) solely for its own account, to carry out all types of investments, notably (a) indirect investments in private and public funds, (b) direct investments in shares of listed and private companies in Switzerland and abroad, and (c) real estate investments, including the acquisition, sale, leasing, and participation in development projects, as well as the direct and indirect financing of companies and development projects in the form of share capital or debt. (ii) to provide strategic, technical, operational, and financial consulting services, particularly in the fields of life sciences, medical technologies, and scientific instruments, as well as in other industrial and service sectors. The company may, excluding operations prohibited by the LFAIE: engage in any financial, commercial, industrial, movable, or immovable activity directly or indirectly related to its purpose; establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad, take participations in any enterprise directly or indirectly related to its purpose; grant loans or provide securities to shareholders or third parties when it serves its interests.
