The foundation aims to preserve the high-quality green space (primarily parcels 4744 and 4728) and the adjacent barn in the Chreien area, Waltikon district, in Zumikon. Its focus is on the agricultural character of this green space and on responsible human interaction with animals and nature. The foundation can take in and care for native animals that come from a life-threatening or animal welfare-related situation or are threatened with extinction; promote the integration of children and people with disabilities; organize training and further education for children and adults; offer living space primarily for the purpose of supervising and caring for the animals; operate a theme-related museum. The foundation can develop all activities that may be directly or indirectly beneficial to the foundation's purpose. To achieve its purpose, it can acquire, rent or sell properties, operate a commercial business and participate in similar organizations. The foundation does not pursue self-help or commercial purposes and does not aim to make a profit. Its area of activity extends to Zumikon and the surrounding municipalities, but can be expanded at any time.
