The promotion and development of mediation within the Armed Forces in accordance with human rights upheld by international institutions such as the UN and the Red Cross. This purpose requires an understanding of potential conflict-generating factors affecting military personnel. Another purpose of the Association is to support members of the Armed Forces, military and civilian, their professional and personal entourage, as well as anyone directly or indirectly affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The Association's activities include: studying methods of resolving interpersonal conflicts within the Armed Forces, and any topic related to the health and human rights of military personnel and their families; developing a guide to good mediation practices in accordance with the fundamental principles of mediation and adapted to the specificities of the Armed Forces; developing mediation training programs for the Armed Forces; organizing conferences, meetings, and workshops. The support provided by CIMFA to the persons mentioned in this Article is realized through any means; technological, academic, artistic, scientific, etc.
