The foundation's purpose is to promote healthcare and animal welfare. The foundation fulfills this purpose by providing grants to non-profit organizations in Switzerland and abroad that fulfill the foundation's purpose or by carrying out its own activities that promote the foundation's purpose. To achieve its non-profit purpose, the foundation may also: implement and support projects and provide funding and assistance to individuals and organizations that fall within the foundation's purpose; establish or acquire participations in other entities or become a member of purpose-related associations within the scope of its purpose; enter into content-related or structural collaborations with other legal or natural persons; provide services of all kinds (such as asset management) that are related to the fulfillment of its purpose. Such services are provided exclusively for the benefit and support of the beneficiaries. The foundation board may set priorities within the scope of these activities at its discretion. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose. The founder reserves the right, based on Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code and in compliance with the statutory requirements, to amend the foundation's purpose.
