to enable and promote the use of the electronic patient record (EPR) in accordance with the Federal Act on the Electronic Patient Record (LDEP) by the general population, Neuchâtel patients in particular, and healthcare providers, with the aim of improving its quality, safety and efficiency. To this end, it works closely with the Association Structure porteuse de la Communauté de référence Dossier électronique du patient Neuchâtel, abbreviated SP DEP NE; to function as a reference community and assume the tasks, rights and obligations incumbent on such a community under the LDEP and its implementing ordinances; to enable the Neuchâtel population to open an EPR; to enable healthcare professionals and care institutions treating Neuchâtel patients to affiliate with it; to encourage the use and usefulness of the computer platform necessary for the EPR by as many of them as possible; to promote collaboration between healthcare providers with a view to improving the coordination and continuity of care; to delegate the implementation of the organizational, technical and financial tasks incumbent on the reference community under the LDEP and its implementing ordinances to the Association SP DEP NE.
