Comunità di valle dei Patriziati di Vallemaggia (COPAVAM)

To unite the Patriziati of the Valley in order to protect interests, promote and coordinate initiatives of the Patriziati and propose solutions, collaborate with the valley and regional authorities to achieve the statutory purposes and maintain contacts with the Ticinese Patrizial Alliance, contribute to the cultural, civic, institutional and economic promotion of the municipalities of the Valley and the Locarnese and Vallemaggia regions within the framework of regional policy. COPAVAM has established the Forest Enterprise of the Community of Patriziati of Vallemaggia (AFOP), whose purpose is to assist the Patriziati and forest owners in managing their forest heritage and territory in general, carrying out forestry work, providing services of interest to the valley, particularly the maintenance of trails, carrying out improvement or agricultural aid works, as well as special services for municipalities and other entities operating in the valley, collecting, transforming and marketing timber and executing works for third parties, with the main purpose of self-financing.
