The improvement of the housing conditions of the population and in particular of its members. 2 The cooperative wishes to develop housing that meets demanding criteria in terms of solidarity economy, social quality and respect for the environment, according to the principles set out in its ethical charter. 3 The cooperative aims to offer housing on a long-term basis at financially affordable conditions for all segments of the population, in particular seniors, people with reduced mobility, single-parent families and students. 4 The cooperative's activity is of public utility and does not pursue any profit-making purpose. 5 The cooperative's activity is characterized by joint action in favor of its members, as well as in favor of other people, housing cooperatives or public authorities wishing to develop real estate projects in accordance with the principles set out in its ethical charter. 6 The cooperative aims for the inclusion of everyone without any discrimination. It defends the principles of mutual aid and solidarity. The cooperative is rooted in its natural and social environment. It therefore strives to interact with the society around it and to encourage, both within and outside, participatory and democratic processes, as well as behaviors compatible with the ecological principles of sustainability. It endeavors to achieve its objectives, in particular by: a) the acquisition or construction of housing on land to be acquired or leased or over which it would have free disposal under rights of superficie or any other mode; b) the associative management of its buildings and their dependencies; c) the promotion of functions that favor sustainability (for example: soft mobility and alternatives to the individual car, short circuits, the protection of biodiversity, democratic processes, inclusiveness and the fight against discrimination); d) the prohibition to engage in any speculative operation; e) prohibition to proceed with a conversion into divided ownership of the building(s) concerned in the context of real estate operations carried out with the support of the State, after its expiry, or on land sold or made available in right of superficie by a public authority; f) participation or organization of actions aimed at promoting and supporting the development of sustainable housing projects.
