The association pursues exclusively non-profit purposes in the field of international dermatological research and cooperation. In particular, it aims to: - network dermatologists, research institutes and universities worldwide to promote dermatological research - coordinate and support scientific research projects and their publication in specialist journals and online media for the benefit of the general public - cooperate with dermatological umbrella, professional and patient organizations to improve dermatological care - promote international knowledge exchange, especially with developing and emerging countries, to improve global access to dermatological care The association does not pursue commercial purposes and does not strive for profit. The association's funds may only be used for statutory purposes. Members do not receive any benefits from the association's funds. Board members and association members may receive a reasonable, market-based remuneration for special services within the framework of the statutory purposes (in particular, scientific lectures, publications, participation in advisory boards, specific project work or participation in international specialist conferences). The amount of such remuneration must be approved in advance by the board and may not exceed industry-standard rates. No person may be favored by expenses that are foreign to the purpose of the association or by disproportionately high remuneration. The association is politically and denominationally neutral.
