The Foundation pursues the following purposes: a) Preservation of global biological diversity; b) Focus is on the restoration, conservation and promotion of biodiversity, particularly through the application of comprehensive data and technologies. The Foundation fulfills its purpose by promoting and supporting projects, organizations, institutions and individuals that are committed to the aforementioned purposes and provide assurance that the material or financial contributions received from the Foundation are used efficiently, economically and in accordance with the purpose of the Dodo Foundation Switzerland. Within the framework of the Foundation's purpose, the Foundation's services can also be provided in the form of supporting non-profit organizations or institutions with the same or similar purpose. It is at the discretion of the Foundation Board to cooperate with other organizations or institutions with comparable goals. The Foundation is active in Switzerland and abroad. The Foundation is authorized to establish further foundations in Switzerland and abroad within the framework of its purpose and to pursue joint projects with domestic and foreign foundations with similar purposes. The Foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
