The Company's purpose is to acquire, hold and sell participations in companies or businesses of any kind, in Switzerland and abroad, as well as to acquire, hold and sell real estate in Switzerland and abroad (excluding participations and real estate not eligible under the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners of 16.12.1983). The Company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and carry out all commercial operations that may promote the Company's purpose and are related to it. The Company may grant loans or other financing to its shareholders (direct or indirect) or sister or affiliated companies (including its subsidiaries) and may provide securities of any kind to guarantee the obligations of such shareholders and companies, including by creating pledges, by transferring the Company's assets in trust or by issuing a guarantee.
