The foundation aims to promote and support institutions and projects related to children with physical and/or mental disabilities in Basel and its surroundings. This includes promoting and supporting institutions and projects in the medical and/or research field, therapies, infrastructure and environment for children in medical treatment, and other support projects. The foundation can also provide direct assistance to people in need. The foundation can also develop its own non-profit projects within the scope of its activities. The foundation board can formulate guidelines for the implementation of this foundation purpose within the framework of a regulation. In doing so, it can in particular establish criteria for eligibility and selection of beneficiaries, as well as clarify questions regarding procedures, delegation of selection, confirmation of use of funds, and other matters. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
