The foundation aims to achieve the Rotary objectives in the sense of service to others (community service, youth service and international service). It supports, using the capital and interest of the general foundation assets, the following non-profit objectives in particular: Providing assistance to individuals and organizations in need or distress, both domestically and abroad; Training and promoting young people in Switzerland and abroad through the granting of scholarships or cost subsidies; Promoting international exchange programs for apprentices, students and pupils, insofar as they serve to improve understanding among nations; Supporting charitable actions in Switzerland and abroad, in particular non-profit projects, international welfare, education and cultural exchange programs of Rotary organizations in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation also provides immediate emergency assistance to people in need from the special foundation assets of the Rotary Fund for You, when state and private welfare institutions and organizations are unable, insufficient or too slow to act. The foundation can take action on its own or participate in, or support, actions carried out by other organizations with similar non-profit objectives. In addition to the income, the foundation assets themselves can also be used to achieve the foundation's purpose.
