The non-profit foundation aims to promote sustainability, social justice, and a holistic quality of life by re-embedding the economy into society while respecting ecological boundaries. Given the fundamental importance of social, cultural, and economic relations at local and regional levels for this re-embedding, the foundation is particularly committed to shaping and promoting community-oriented local economies. In doing so, it contributes to a human-centric and ecologically sustainable development of the socio-economic fabric. The foundation sets itself the following tasks in the area of its purpose: a) researching and developing methods, processes, and tools, b) promoting awareness and education, c) promoting social and technical innovations, d) promoting projects in local authorities. The foundation can engage in all activities that fall within the scope of its purpose or are contextually related to it. In particular, it can be both operationally and supportively active. To fulfill its purpose, it can cooperate with suitable institutions and organizations, support them, or establish and operate them itself. The foundation fulfills its purpose in the entire territory of Switzerland and abroad. It does not pursue any commercial or self-help objectives.
